ABOUT THE ARTIST
Luke Carlos O’Reilly is an award winning pianist who has always had a passion for music. Whether it be Jazz, Soul, R&B, Gospel, Latin Jazz, Classical or any other genre, Luke was drawn to good music at the early age of four.
After a Boston upbringing, Luke moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to attend Esther Boyer School of Music at Temple University on an academic and music scholarship. He graduated Temple in 2004, earning his Bachelors of Fine Arts with a concentration in Jazz Performance.
During his time in Philadelphia, he had the opportunity to tour with artists such as Curtis Fuller, Bobby Watson, Randy Brecker, Wycliffe Gordon, Dave Valentin, Billy Paul, Slide Hampton, Nicholas Payton, Fred Wesley, Red Holloway, Steve Turre, Chico Freeman, Musiq Soulchild, Carol Riddick, K’naan and many others.
Luke has two independently released solo albums; ‘Living In The Now’ (2011) and '3 Suites' (2013). Both albums contain original compositions as well as covers from Stevie Wonder, The Beatles, Cedar Walton, Mulgrew Miller, Janet Jackson, SWV and many more eclectic artists. At this time, Luke plans to continue writing, performing, and recording music, as well as educating young aspiring musicians.
